Herbs & Oils

Apothecary jars of dried botanicals with amber oil bottles

Every folk tradition on earth keeps an herb cabinet, and this shelf is ours. Bulk botanicals and resins sold by weight — rosemary, mugwort, bay, vervain, and rows more — each labeled with the uses tradition has given it. An ounce is plenty to start; the jars go a long way.

A note on our language, because it matters: we describe herbs by tradition and custom — what folk practice burned them for, carried them for, brewed them for in ceremony. We don't make medical claims, and nothing on this shelf is sold as medicine. What rosemary meant to a Welsh kitchen witch is history; what it does in your body is a conversation for your doctor.

The oil case follows the same logic. Sun's Eye and Nature's Alchemy blends, Anna Riva's condition oils, Gypsy Goddess roll-ons — named oils in the American folk-magic tradition, used to anoint candles, charms and doorways. Pure essential oils stand alongside for those who blend their own.

Rounding out the shelf: aromatherapy mists, scented soaps and bath salts, and Susan Grayson's blessing water, made for the shop.
